Frequently asked questions

Is FTNSS available yet?

Not quite — FTNSS is in final development and coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Email admin@afthonia.io and we'll tell you the moment it launches.

Which devices does FTNSS support?

iPhone and Android, with watch apps for Apple Watch and Garmin (Fenix and Descent, via a Connect IQ companion).

Do I need an account?

No. FTNSS has no account and no sign-up. Everything lives on your device — see the privacy policy for exactly what that means.

How do I get heart rate on every interval?

Wear your Apple Watch, or pair a Bluetooth heart-rate strap. FTNSS records heart rate against each phase as you go, so your summary shows the trace banded by what you were actually doing — not one workout average.

Why does FTNSS ask for the camera?

For a guided heart-rate variability reading: you hold a fingertip over the lens and FTNSS reads the colour changes. It doesn't take photos or record video, and no images are stored. You can decline and use the rest of the app normally.

How do I connect Strava?

In FTNSS Settings, connect Strava and sign in on Strava's own page — we never see your password. Then the activities you choose upload to Strava. Disconnect any time in Settings.

How do I sync with my Garmin watch?

Install the FTNSS Connect IQ companion on your Garmin, then pair it from FTNSS Settings → Garmin. Your timer library syncs to the watch, and finished runs come back with per-interval heart rate. Those runs also save natively to Garmin Connect.

Can I get my workouts out of FTNSS?

Yes, always. Every activity exports as a standard .FIT file via the share sheet — upload it to Strava, import it to Garmin Connect, or keep it. iPhone-recorded runs and HRV readings also save to Apple Health.

My workouts aren't showing in Apple Health.

Check that FTNSS has permission: Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → FTNSS, and make sure writing is enabled. iOS asks per data type, so it's easy to miss one. Still stuck? Email us.
